One time henry dreamed the number
but we didn’t play it,
and do you know, that thing came out straight
3-67?
yes it did!
we was both sick
for a whole week,
could’a sure used
the money then too
that was back in hoover’s time
when folks was scufflin
to make ends meet.
i knock on wood though
we’ve lived through it all.
last night after we ate
the last of the meat loaf and greens
and was watching television
henry asked me if I remembered that,
i told him yes,
we laughed
then went to bed
and kept each other warm…

Street Team programs represent a crucial part of our goal of ‘Curriculum Reform and Giving Youth a Guided Voice’. We also require College students and/or community members to learn how to implement and carry on our program. That way we instill buy-in for each community to invest in themselves.
