Street Team International (STI) is our website’s virtual study abroad program for healing and understanding. It engages participants in exchanging knowledge and promotes intercultural dialogue through experiences of the African and African diaspora. We also explore civic engagement and develop life and leadership skills through an anti-racism curriculum and media production. For 2023, Ghana, Africa, was our location, and our theme was ‘Pan Africanism in the 21st Century.’

STI Ghana instructs with two PowerPoint presentations, an introduction to the home country, geographic and demographic information, and critical language phrases. Below the PowerPoints on this page are two columns examining the theme from four views. They are an administrative elder, an academic, and two youths (post-secondary and high school).

Street Team International’s flexibility accommodates broad audiences. As we expand, participants can visit more countries in our virtual study-abroad library. In the near future, Brazil 🇧🇷, Ireland 🇮🇪, and Israel 🇮🇱 will be included so participants can virtually visit more African destinations across the globe.
