Journal Submissions

Call for Submissions You are cordially invited to submit your original academic work (article/s or poem/s) for consideration in the Journal of the Registry, Fall, 2023 issue; related to the theme area* outlined below. All submissions undergo a review and evaluation by our editorial board. Acceptance Notification: see the deadline chart below. Send submission/s (MS Word format only/pdf) to: journal@aaregistry.org. Suggested, but not limited to, the following categories:

  • America’s Schools and Civics, how can critical race theory CRT not be discussed
  • The miseducation of all Students
  • Distance Learning Classrooms, methods to be effective with the limits of Zoom
  • Daughters of Africa, the leadership of black women from 1500 to 2022
  • COVID & Extra-Curricular: The Lack of Access for nonwhite students
  • Voter Suppression in America
  • Other relevant topics

Required: Author’s Original work only. No previously published work. Style: MLA (all citations/references/documented/verifiable/otherwise work returned) Word limit: 1200 words (not including references or 50-word bio) Copyright: Citations should follow required guidelines of standard copyright protocol/s Delivery: Send all submissions for review to: journal@aaregistry.org

*Deadlines:

  • Journal of the Registry accepts submissions on a rolling basis (e.g., related to the vision of African American Registry®
  • Submissions are reviewed monthly, and authors are notified of the decision.  Journal of the Registry is published annually (usually in the fall).
  • Accepted submissions receive a follow-up outline detailing the next steps related to deadlines and final expectations that meet publication standards.
  • The current fall deadline is August 1, 2023
